Hacettepe University Hospitals, Integrated Hospital Information Management System
Tepe Technology’s Integrated Hospital Information Management System has being used since 1997 in Hacettepe University Hospitals (Adult Hospital, Pediatric Hospital, Oncology Hospital, Emergency, Dental Hospital and PTR) which is the Turkiye’s biggest University Hospital with a capacity of 1200 beds. Today, there are approximately 2150 usersin the system.
The infrastructure of this project covers Turkiye’s the first and the only health system based on an optical form based request entry and cash transactions and also the first and the only medical data dictionary application. The project is still the most comprehensive and sophisticated Hospital Information Management System in Turkiye with its scope and the number of users.
Annual maintenance and revision studies of Integrated Hospital Information Management System are ongoing.

Narrative Description of Assignment
|
- In the initial stage, Integrated Hospital Information Management System for Hacettepe University Hospitals with 100 users had been developed. Today the system is being used by approximately 2150 users
- IDEF1X and IDEX03 modeling; Object Oriented modeling by using SELECT Enterprise use case scenarios had been completed
- Integrated Hospital Information Management System had been developed on the base of the model that is planned and agreed on beforehand.
- Currently all services regarding maintenance and technical support for the operation of the system has being provided by our company.
- ERWin, BPWin and Visual Modeler CASE Tools had been used.
- Optical Form Based request entries and cash transaction system, which is developed during the Project, is
the one and only one system being used in Turkish health sector.
- Medical Data Dictionary that is developed during the Project is the first Medical Data Dictionary implementation being used in Turkish health sector.
- Currently the Most Sophisticated Integrated Hospital Information Management System Project in Turkey in terms of implementation context and number of users
- After the activation of HIS, a big amount of savings in the expenditures, decrease in the amount of unknown losses and increase in the income had been observed.
